CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

20+ years with the company

As the CEO of WEST Builders, Michael manages the overall operations of WEST Builders as well as overseeing the Southern California division. He started his career in the construction industry directly out of college, where he joined a major mechanical construction company as a design engineer. Over the next 13 years, he worked his way up to becoming the Sr. Vice President of four of the company’s divisions. Michael joined WEST Builders, where he has been a crucial part of the company’s development for the past 20 years. Michael values honesty and hard work and enjoys working with bright, smart, and driven individuals on a daily basis. With his extensive knowledge and experience in the construction industry, Michael is committed to providing the highest level of quality and service to his clients through WEST Builders. During his free time, Michael spends his time creating art, skiing in the winter, and hiking in the summer.

With a career that began in the construction industry in 1995, Ricardo brings a wealth of experience to his role. Before joining WEST Builders, he spent 9 years working for a renowned national design-build firm. In 2003, Ricardo became the first paid employee at WEST Builders, and since then, he has been responsible for leading the overall project development. This includes managing client relations, estimating, pre-construction, and ensuring successful project delivery. One of Ricardo’s key strengths is his ability to cultivate industry partnerships, which are crucial for the continued growth and success of WEST Builders and its Clients. With his extensive experience in the construction industry and his dedication to client success, Ricardo Zamorano is an integral part of WEST Builders’ continued growth and achievements. During his time away from work, he enjoys mountain biking and hiking with family and friends.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

15+ years with the company

Todd is the CFO of WEST Builders, where he has been working for 15 years. Todd started his construction industry journey with West in 2008 as the Corporate Controller before being promoted to CFO in 2010. He brings over 30 years of combined Real Estate industry experience to his role with West, having previously worked with some of the industry’s most well-known and respected property and asset management firms. Today, Todd is responsible for the company’s overall financial health and is driven by his values of honesty, hard work, and partnership. He strongly believes that everyone at the company should work together in a collaborative environment and that his role is to provide a path to success for all the employees. Outside of work, Todd enjoys spending time with his family and participating in various outdoor activities including windsurfing, skiing, and playing tennis.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS

18+ years with the company

Nick graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Construction Management. In 2004, Nick was given the opportunity to intern at WEST Builders and he proved himself invaluable to the team. In 2005, he was hired as a full-time employee. As the Senior Vice President of Construction Operations, Nick is responsible for a variety of crucial tasks, including logistics, problem-solving, overseeing day-to-day operations, pre-construction, coordination, staffing, ensuring proactive project teams, mentoring younger employees, reviewing schedules, and guaranteeing efficient project execution and timely delivery. Nick’s work is driven by a set of core values that guide his approach in the construction industry. He deeply believes in the importance of hard work, maintaining high-quality standards, being a skilled problem solver, thinking creatively, and demonstrating reliability and loyalty. One of the most fulfilling aspects of his job is witnessing projects from their initial stages through to completion, and observing how project teams learn and grow in their careers during this process. Nick finds it incredibly rewarding to see the sense of accomplishment on his employees’ faces when they successfully complete a project.

VICE PRESIDENT ENGINEERING

17+ years with the company

Sean began his career with WEST Builders in 2006 upon graduation from Cal Poly. He has worked extensively on project management, project design development, and constructability. In recent years, Sean focused on pre-construction working with the design team and consultant engineers coordinating the delivery of efficient optimized designs with a focus on value. He has a BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering with a CM minor from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo along with an Environmental Science degree from UC Berkeley. In his free time, Sean enjoys outdoor activities, especially cycling.

VICE PRESIDENT PRECONSTRUCTION

16+ years with the company

Dave began his journey in the construction industry in 2001, starting as a Project Manager for a glazing contractor, Dave joined WEST Builders in 2007. Throughout his career, he has managed a wide range of projects that include mixed-use apartment buildings, dormitories, seismic upgrades, commercial tenant improvement projects, and high-end luxury condominiums. At work, Dave takes pride in working with clients in project development and design, to build an efficient and collaborative environment. He focuses on building lasting partnerships with his clients that transcend beyond the current project. Dave believes that the success of a project is not just limited to its immediate completion, but is also measured by the future opportunities it can bring. This is why he strives to prove that his team is worthy of future business from clients.
